iPhone 5 with 4 inch Screen is all set for Production in August

May 17, 2012 at 11:39 am

Yesterday, Wall Street Journal reported that the sixth generation iPhone will have a display of at least 4-inches. This news has been reaffirmed by Reuters  today. According to Reuter’s own sources, Sharp, LG Display and Japan Display have started working on the screen production of iPhone 5 , with the display measuring 4-inches diagonally.

It says that all three companies will be receiving screen manufacturing orders from Apple, and the production of the displays would start from next month. This would allow iPhone 5 to enter into the production phases in August, hence making its September  or October launch  possible.

It is likely all three of the screen suppliers will get production orders from Apple, which could begin as soon as June. That would allow the new iPhone to go into production as soon as August, if the company follows its own precedent in moving from orders for prototypes for key components to launch.
